Big Names Come to Plaid Goat MTB Fest

Canmore, AB
Plaid Goat Mountain Bike (MTB) Fest is stoked to announce Graham Agassiz (Aggy) will be attending this year’s event as a special guest. Agassiz is well known in the mountain bike world and beyond, as a top-level competitor of the Fest Series circuit while also focusing on creating rad content for his list of sponsors. His pedigree includes 3x first place qualifier and a third place in the finals at Red Bull Rampage. He also has been featured in numerous films and video segments collected to his credit. Most of all Agassiz is a very approachable guy and will gladly answer any questions the public may have.
“Riding for Evil Bikes as part the Black Collars, Aggy will be involved in a few different ways at Plaid Goat, competing in the Jump Jam on June 22 in the Sick Goat category and leading the ‘Bleed Black on Razor’s Edge’ advanced Evil group ride on Sunday morning. This will be a fully kitted out group demo for a limited number of participants who will be testing our whole fleet of bikes on the area’s most technical ride,” explained Mike Budgen, Canadian sales manager for Evil Bikes.
Agassiz will be joined at Plaid Goat by teammate Soren Farenholtz. Like Agassiz, Farenholtz hails from Kamloops, B.C., and at 16 years old represents the next generation of riders coming into the dirt and style fold. He will be competing in the Jump Jam in the Sick Goat category vying for one of the coveted top step cash prizes.
“I’ve watched Soren grow into himself over the past few years and look forward to competing with him at the Jump Jam. He’s a dirt jump and slopestyle specialist, and nothing’s better than sessioning with your teammates. We’re both stoked to join the regional riders who will be shredding and spectating on Saturday June 22,” said Agassiz.
“Every year of Plaid Goat, we strive for new additions to the mix. This year, those additions are attracting top talent and big names, which aligns with our long-term vision. We can’t wait to see who throws down the hardest!” added Wanda Bogdane, Plaid Goat founder.
